1. Warm Up: Word Bank (SP0)

• Additive identity property: The sum of a number and zero is the number
• Additive inverse property: The sum of a number and it's opposite is zero
• Difference: The answer to a subtraction problem
• Distance: the amount of space between 2 things, or two numbers on a number line

2. Number Lines: 

• No matter where you start, when moving to the right on a number line, what kind of number must be added?
• No matter where you start, when moving to the left on a number line, what kind of number must be added?

3. Addition and Subtraction on Number Lines (SP24) (for numbers 4, 5, 6, and 7, draw positive and negative counters, too)

4. Exploring addition on a number line (SP 25) and Start Exploring subtraction on a number line (SP26)
